The Night Witch is the only witch who works on a longer timeline than the others are comfortable with. She does not want your gold, your secrets, or your village. She wants something the others cannot harvest: your despair over time. Pure, cultivated suffering, bottled in a soul gem and traded on the lower planes for power that even elder witches cannot buy.
She is patient. She has been patient since before the oldest tree in the forest was a seed. She will visit you for months. You will not sleep well. You will not know why.
When she finally collects, you will not even know it has happened.
She kept a ledger. Not names. Just debts. Each soul gem had a number. She knew the number of months she had invested. She knew the precise moment each one had broken. She was meticulous. It was the only thing she respected about herself.
Playable Abilities

Choose a creature you have seen within the last 24 hours. You enter their dreams. You may observe, introduce images, or implant one sentence that they believe was their own thought on waking. Repeated dream walks on the same target grant cumulative disadvantage on their WIS saves against your spells.
You look at a creature and see the weight of what they carry. You learn their highest ability score, their deepest fear, and whether they have broken any promise in the last month. The target is unaware.
You plant a recurring nightmare in a creature's mind. Until they receive magical healing of 3rd level or higher, they gain one level of exhaustion each time they finish a long rest. The nightmare content is your design.
